Selston High School ensures that a comprehensive remote learning programme is available to our students in the event of a lockdown situation. The digital platform we use is Microsoft Teams for all remote lessons and for access to learning materials, which are uploaded via Class Team pages on a regular basis. As part of the lockdown timetable, we encourage tutors to remain in weekly contact with their tutees, which we believe is a vital link in supporting our students’ mental health and well-being. In addition, our Year Managers play a crucial role in maintaining a caring home-school relationship, in which we encourage families to ask for help with remote learning such as the provision of digital resources or with the organisation of the day.
