In the last week of the Easter term the achievements of staff and students have been celebrated across the school.

Students

Celebrations included:

  • The return of the ever popular silent Disco – students who have met our attendance and behaviour targets were once again rewarded with invitations to attend our silent disco. The Disco features headphones which can be switched to listen to a number of separate Disco tune mixes along with a spectacular light show.
  • Rewards from each department in school for progress during the term. These were divided with two awards for students in Key Stage 3 and two for students in Key Stage 4.
  • Rewards from each Tutor and Head of Year  for students who have made particularly pleasing progress this term.
  • Rewards Assemblies for each year group – highlighting the many positive achievements since January including sporting success and student achievements out of school.

Well done to all!

Staff

For staff the last two weeks have seen the culmination of Trust wide Star Awards recognising Trust staff’s work. Staff members were nominated by their peers and students for work in a range of areas. All of these nominations were celebrated before being narrowed down to the eventual winners in each section reminding us all that no matter your role, all Selston staff have the power to change someone’s day, week, or even life because they’re all “Everyday Heroes”.
