We hope the information below will help clarify the arrangements for the return to school in the first week of January.

Uniform

School now has a supply of School Ties. These can be purchased from reception at a cost of £7 either on our testing day, Wednesday or on Thursday morning. All students are expected to return in full uniform as detailed below.

Students in Year 11

All Year 11 students should attend school at 8:25 am on Wednesday 5th Jan where they should register as usual. All school buses will be running as normal. During the first part of the day, students will take a lateral flow test before returning to their lessons. Consent can still be given using the link below:

Students in Years 7-10

All students in Years 7 -10 need to attend our site on Wednesday 5th Jan to undertake a lateral flow test.

Students can use school transport to attend for these tests. Those arriving before 9:40 should wait outside where they will undertake their tests as soon as possible.

As in our text message this morning students are asked to attend in any slot between 9:40-12:30 with the testing bays open until 2:30 pm.

All students in Years 7-10 should then return home where remote learning tasks will be available on Teams

Students should not attend if they have tested positive and have yet to serve their isolating period or are awaiting PCR test results as they have symptoms or are a close contact of a positive case.

The Dfe guidance now states that even if someone has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 90 days, they are strongly encouraged to take part in testing.

Whilst we support and encourage parents testing at home and recording the data on the NHS website the Dfe guidance indicates that their preference is for students to attend on-site testing.

If you haven’t yet consented for your child to be tested the form can be found below
