Payments for items such as dinner money, school trips and uniform can now be made online using your credit or debit card.  ParentPay is our preferred method of making payments to school.

How to get started with ParentPay?

We will be sent your account activation details, once you receive these:

• Visit

• Enter your Activation username and password in the Account Login section of the homepage.NB. These are for one-time use only, you will choose your own username and password for future access during the activation process

• Provide all the necessary information and choose your new username and password for your account – registering your email address will enable us to send you receipts and reminders

• Once activation is complete you can go straight to Items for payment, select which item(s) you want to add to your basket and proceed to complete your payment.

Class Charts is an online system which staff at Selston High School use to track achievement and behaviour throughout the school day. We believe in working closely with parents and one of the key benefits of using Class Charts is that we are able to securely share your Child’s achievement and behaviour report with you and so keep you up to date in real-time. As an school we also use Class Charts to set student’s homework and award positive behaviour points to reward our students for their efforts.

Each child has a unique access code which they will be given, we will issue parents their own unique code in a letter.

It is vital as part of your child’s education that they have access to their Class Charts account. By regularly logging in to Class Charts students will be able to see any homework they have been set, track their behaviour and be rewarded for their achievements both in and outside of school.

School Gateway

The School Gateway app brings together a significant amount of useful information regarding your child / children in one place. It can be viewed online or if you have an Apple or Android device, on your Smartphone.

You will be able to:

  • Keep up to date with the latest information about your child.
  • View electronic copies of reports and documents we have sent.
  • Attendance. This will give you details of the overall attendance percentage and also details of any absences.
  • Check and update your contact details. You will have access to all of the contact details we hold for you and you will be able to update these as necessary.
  • Timetable. You will be able to view your child’s timetable at all times.
  • Notify us of any reason for absence.

We can:

  • Send real time notifications to you when new information is available.
  • Save money on admin time, printing and paper.
  • Ensure our contact details for you are up to date.

Installing The App

You will need to register for a School Gateway account in order to view this information. This can be done via the “New User” tab at or via the School Gateway app which can be downloaded from the Apple app store or Google Play store.

The set-up process is simple and will take no more than a couple of minutes:

  1. Search for “School Gateway” in the Apple App Store/Google Play or on your phone go to (Apple) or (Android)
  2. Install the app and if you are asked then say yes to “Allow Push Notifications”.
  3. When you launch School Gateway for the first time, please select ‘New User’ and enter the email address and mobile telephone number you have registered with the school.
  4. The system will send a PIN code to your phone; please enter this PIN code and the app will be activated for you.
