From this week students in Years 7, 8 & 9 will experience a change in the way we are asking them to complete homework for Mathematics. We are asking students to complete two goals a week on an online maths platform called ‘Complete Maths Tutor’.

TUTOR will help your child revise and improve their maths through a mixture of videos and quizzes — it is easy to use, and your child will have unlimited access to all the online lessons. TUTOR brings all the benefits of personal tuition without the cost to families and we believe that engaging with the program will contribute to your child fulfilling their potential.

All pupils have been issued with login details for their TUTOR account by their Mathematics teacher, which is of the format [forename].[surname] with students setting their own passwords when they were introduced to the software in a computer room before the half-term break. Tutor can be accessed online at https://tutor.completemaths.com

To support students we will be opening a computer room (Room 8) at lunchtime on Mondays and Tuesdays, for students to come and work on TUTOR in school or to receive support if they are struggling. Where students have not completed two goals in the prior week, pupils will be asked to attend the lunch session to support them in completing the required amount of goals for the week after.

We are excited by this change as it represents our commitment to support your child in filling in any educational gaps they may have due to any previous disruption in their education.

To further encourage student participation we are holding a prize draw for a £20 Amazon voucher at the end of this half term. Students will gain entries into this draw by completing as many goals as possible over the term.

If you have any questions or require any support in accessing tutor please contact your child’s mathematics teacher.
