Dear families,

Thank you for your understanding following the school closure on Friday. We understand that a school closure is far from ideal and we are working hard to ensure that the site is fully open tomorrow. Those local to Selston will know that local roads and pavements are still covered with snow and now ice, which continues to make some areas unsafe. Our site team have worked to clear the site as much as possible, and with the help of locals with heavy duty equipment have done a sterling job. That being said, the large site still contains considerable ice and snow that we hope will thaw overtime. As it stands, we are planning to open tomorrow morning to all students. We do however ask for families to check our website/Facebook for any further updates as required. Depending on the site conditions, there may need to be further closures to some year groups. We hope to avoid this scenario and will provide a further update tomorrow morning.

Thank you again for your understanding. Selston High School.
