Selston High School has today hosted the Two Counties Trust Festival of Chemistry. Students from across the 9 schools in the Trust spent the day in the Laboratories here at Selston undertaking a circus of graded practical challenges and participating in a quiz that tested their scientific knowledge. All the Students expressed how much they had enjoyed the day with participants receiving a commemorative chemistry badge and a special periodic table. After the scores from the quiz and the practical challenges had been collated Friesland School were awarded this year’s trophy. It is hoped the festival will become an annual event as we continue to encourage our students to consider future careers in Science or Technology.
