In a digital world, it is becoming increasingly difficult to promote and motivate young people to take PRIDE in their written work. To address this staff at Selston High School can now award 3 ‘Proud Work’ stickers each week to students who have made a real special effort in one of their pieces of work. These stickers are stuck into their planner and then every Friday these students attend a short meeting in our main theatre where Mr Broomhead signs a Pride Certificate marking their achievement and allows them to choose a reward from one of the goodie trays. Students who received their gifts and certificates today were really proud that their efforts had been noted with many planning to ‘strive to achieve’ these rewards in future weeks!
