In Geography students in Year 7 develop key skills and learn about some of the important changes taking place on the planet. Topics include map skills, weather and climate and globalisation. Year 8 looks at topics such as hazards, population, development, and ecosystems with each topic having a focus on a different country. At GCSE the course is divided into physical geography, human geography and problem solving. It also includes fieldwork visits to the river Meden and to Birmingham city centre. We offer a very popular enrichment trip to Iceland for GCSE students as well as enrichment opportunities in school.
